There are many different methods of soap making that are done today. They are all a true craft in my opinion. The methods that I know of are:
1.) Melt and Pour
2.) Cold Process
3.) Hot Process
4.) Rebatching
I personally make the melt and pour and the cold process methods. Please click on the following links to learn the difference between the methods. I am NOT an expert. I have just recently started making cold process soap. I have done melt and pour for many years. I will give the basic description of each method and I will also include links to sites that have much more experienced information. Soap making is a wonderful hobby or business. I hope you will enjoy learning the methods and maybe try soap making for yourself. The most important advice I can give you BEFORE you start, is to READ, READ, and READ some more!! You can never learn to much! This is the most important information I can give you if you are going to try cold process or hot process soap making!! These both use LYE, which can be dangerous to work with if you are not familiar with it!!
