An alien wildflower usually found where few
other plants will grow. Viper's bugloss prefers
limestone soils and wasteland.

Orange Hawkweed is a naturalized alien with
hairy leaves that form basal rosettes. Now
common as a wildflower it is rare in garden
settings. Competive in dry conditions
Hawkweeds in bloom creates a low orange haze
over many meadows in the north country.

Chrysanthemum leucanthemum

A perennial from rhizomes with
characteristic 'daisy-like' flowers.  
Oxeye daisy is primaily a weed of
turfgrass, lawns, roadsides, and
nursery crops.  It is found throughout
the United States.
Botanical and Common Name: The scientific name for foxglove is
Digitalis.

Plant Category: Most foxglove species are biennial while a few grow
as true perennials, though short-lived.

Bloom Time & Color: In the summer foxgloves have stately flowers
carried on tall flower stalks. Many foxgloves have purple, white,
yellow or pink colored flowers on 4-6’ stalks.

Foliage: Foxglove leaves grow in large rosette clump close to the
ground above which the flower stalks are held.

Growth Habit: Foxglove plants are upright and vertical accents in
the garden.
Red clover is a perennial herb that commonly
grows wild in meadows throughout Europe
and Asia, and has now been naturalized to
grow in North America. The red flowers at
the end of the branched stems are usually
dried for therapeutic use.
